Before contacting support personally, please read though this FAQ to try and find your answer there, as it can be faster than personal communication. Of course do not hesitate if you have any questions that are not answered in this FAQ. We will be happy to deal with your question or request personally. Write an email to support@loqui-app.com 

To delete your data—and thereby your account—you must have Loqui installed on your device, be logged into your account, and have access to the email inbox associated with it. We do not offer an option to delete all data while keeping your account. However, you can remove specific elements of your learning progress, such as flashcards, tracked sentences from your sentence history, and past conversations. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, follow the steps outlined in our Account Deletion Guide (https://www.loqui-app.com/account-deletion). Can I use Loqui offline? Which functions are still available?

Loqui requires an internet connection for all core Practice mode functions, so it is not available offline. However, we plan to introduce a download option for Stories soon, allowing you to access them without an internet connection.

How can I focus on specific topics or vocabulary areas (e.g., business, travel, medical terms)?

Loqui makes it easy to focus on specific topics. Simply add the flashcards you want to study as a topic. You can do this manually or use the “Generate Flashcards with AI” feature—just tap the “+” symbol in the vocabulary section on your home screen, enter your topic, and Loqui will generate relevant flashcards for you. Once you're familiar with the flashcards, they’ll automatically appear in Sentence Mode, helping you practice them in context.

What is XP used for?

You earn XP by practicing, with higher rewards for better performance in your sessions. Currently, XP doesn’t have a specific use, but in the future, it will be used for leaderboards, allowing you to see where you rank based on your XP. You'll also be able to compete with friends to see who has the most!

What privacy and security measures are in place for voice recordings and personal data?

Your voice recordings are never permanently stored. They are encrypted during transmission and only kept for a few seconds—just long enough for processing. Since they aren’t saved, there is no need to manage or delete them. If you’d like to know what other data we store and how you can view or delete it, please visit our Privacy Policy page.

How can I customize or disable notifications for learning reminders?

You can adjust or turn off notifications in the app settings. Simply go to the Settings page and tap on “Notifications” to customize your preferences.

How can I export or back up my progress?

Your progress is automatically saved to our server in real time—even before you exit Practice Mode. This means you won’t lose any progress if your connection drops or your device shuts down. When switching devices, your progress will carry over since it’s linked to your account, not your device. However, exporting progress to transfer it to another account is not possible.

Why isn’t the speech recognition working properly? Speech recognition sends the message too fast / is too sensitive?

If Loqui detects words you didn’t say or misinterprets your speech, there are two common causes: - Loqui can’t hear you properly. - Your microphone may not be set up correctly or is too far from your mouth. Try recording a voice note and listening to the audio to check if your mic is the issue. Loqui can’t understand you clearly: This often happens in noisy environments like crowded markets, full trains, or windy outdoor conditions. Holding your phone or microphone closer to your face usually helps. If Loqui sends your message too quickly before you finish speaking, you can adjust sensitivity in the app’s settings or disable "Automatic Messaging" entirely. This is useful for slower speakers but will require manually tapping the send button during practice mode.

What should I do if the app crashes or won’t open or won’t load correctly?

Try clearing Loqui’s cache from your phone’s app settings or reinstalling the app entirely. These issues are rare and usually happen when the installed version is severely outdated.

How can I manage or cancel my subscription?

You can manage and cancel your subscription through the app’s settings or via the Google Play or Apple App Store subscription settings.

Does Loqui support multiple languages at the same time?

Yes, absolutely! Just tap the flag in the top left corner of your home screen, then hit the plus icon. Select the language you want to learn, and you can start right away!

Can I use Loqui without creating an account?

No, you need an account to save your progress, which is why you can’t use Loqui’s features without one. However, creating an account is quick and easy—just enter your email, choose a password, and select the language you want to learn.

How can I make sure I have the latest version of Loqui?

App stores typically handle updates automatically, but this can be turned off or not work due to limited storage on your device. To check if you have the latest version, simply open your app store and see if there’s an option to update Loqui.
